Достаточно давно наткнулся на одно мнение: The 1st two companies for drop leg holsters were "Elevated Urban Operations" out of Fl. and "Assault Systems" from St. Louis. There had been some "rigger" made kit popping up around the Ft. Bragg area, the most well know (or infamous after some of the stuff he pulled later) was Idema Combat systems made by Keith Idema. Eagle (the 1st one) made some cool kit in the late 80's. Blackhawk started as a company in 93 or so.
И если про EUO все было понятно, то начал копать про Assault Systems, и вот что есть:
Бренд (торговая марка) ASSAULT SYSTEMS принадлежала компании COMSEC INTERNATIONAL, INC.,ST. LOUIS, 63026. Зарегистрирована 26.11.1982г. Категория - Firearm Products: Flexible Cases for Weapons, Ammunition Pouches, Holsters, Rifle Slings; Revolver Holsters, and Pistol and Submachine Gun Cases.
Так же есть данные, что производство под этим брендом было налажено с 1979 года.
В настоящее время принадлежит компании Elite Survival Systems. ESS is a division of US Tactical Systems Inc., a privately held company based in Washington, Missouri. ESS products are sold under the Elite Survival Systems label, and the Assault Systems label.
